When the time has come to seal your fate
How can you be sure you're not making another mistake?
If you find that your throat hesitates
Rest assured that there is a life beyond this bond that you've failed to make
(Short change)
You were tired but now you're awake
You must decide which is worse
Your indecisiveness or your feelings of self worth
Like an actor without a play you can't rehearse
You must learn your lines as you wander through this life on Earth
(Change)
It's not as easy as it seemed
When you were younger and you dreamed
Raise your head up to the sky
Feel the sun as it sheds light upon your darkest lies
Not the ones that you tell to your friends
But the ones you tell yourself because you've come to depend on them
(Change)
They reach into your skin
And pull you out but then they let you back in
Is the thought of it all too much to bear?
Do you curse the day you were born and blame it for your failure?
Or could it be that you've found something rare?
And the clarity of the moment is something for which you were unprepared?
(Change)
Your choices are so few
But they seem so many when it's all up to you
When the time has come to seal your fate
You should be comfortable with the choice that you have made
After all you shouldn't have to contemplate
What your heart has always known and what you can't evade
