Freakish Form was recorded in a flurry of activity from April - May 2000. The group, consisting of John Kirkpatrick (guitar, bass, vocals), Rory MacCrimmon (guitar, bass, vocals), Tom Schlosser (drums, vocals), and myself (guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals), had decided that since we were breaking up at the end of May we should record an EP for the sake of posterity. As we were all students and as a general rule too busy on weekends, the recording was done in the evenings after school at our house in Dover, NH. The title and cover for the EP came from the song "Q.E.D." which tells the intriguing story of a man who goes to live with a herd of platypi (they don't like to be called platypussies). |
| On a legal note, I should mention that "Dry As A Bone" & "Again" were written by myself, "Philosophy", "Five", & "Q.E.D." were written by Rory MacCrimmon, "It's You" was written by Rory and myself, and "Why Does It Hurt When I Pee?" was written by Frank Zappa. The cover art was discovered in an online coloring book. All rights are, of course, reserved by the appropriate people. |
